“Green Community Travel at the Rhythm of Nature” is action D2 of the “Green Community Costa degli Etruschi” project within the PNRR Mission 2, component 1, investment 3.2 intervention plan, funded by the European Union. Implemented by the 15 municipalities of the Costa degli Etruschi, led by the municipality of Castagneto Carducci, its aim was to promote the eco-cultural tourism experiences and products of the Green Community Costa degli Etruschi.
A co-design with 50 operators
The general action of the component, which began in May 2024, involved the qualification of tourism products and services and the creation and implementation of a territorial marketing plan to promote green tourism in the Costa degli Etruschi area.
The action was carried out through co-design with local operators in order to promote local products and excellence in terms of food and wine, culture/museums, sports, nature/environment, seaside resorts, and crafts, all with a focus on sustainability.
More than 50 operators participated in the co-design, making an important contribution to the creation of green experiences.
The creation of 15 “green” experiences
The project was coordinated by Cooperativa Itinera in collaboration with T.O Italia Highligts, through the creation of 15 ecotourism products called “Green Community Costa degli Etruschi,” which were the result of mapping and sharing a manifesto of values and a set of guidelines for the certification of Green Community products.
The final phase of the project also involves the communication and promotion of the “Green Community Costa degli Etruschi” ecotourism experiences and products in the business-to-business and consumer sectors, and the creation of a network of tour operators operating internationally for the promotion and marketing of the Green Community Costa degli Etruschi tourism offer.
